Took to playing with the sling as a little boy. Though never received any
regular training in shooting, he was determined to be a crack shot. Through
years of practice, he became a real marksman with superb skills. He joined the
Anhui provincial shooting team in 1982 and the national team in 1984.

1984 the XXIII Olympic Games - 1st air pistol (first Olympic gold medal for
China)
