| Owing
to years` effort of industrial restructuring, the ratio of the ratio of
the three industries in the province was improved from 36:42.5:21.5 in
1978 to 16.3:43.6:40.1 in 2000.Fujian will speed up its economic
reshuffling, promote its industrializa-tion by means of information
technology, and strive to develop its social productive forces by leaps
and bounds. In the Tenth Five Year Plan, priority will be give to the
growth of three major industries in the province: electronics and
information, machinery, and petrochemical. The development of new and
high-tech industry and the re-arrangement of industries in the rural areas
will be emphasized. Building industry and service industry will be
expedited.
